Smoky haze in Southeastern Washington
Kim Fowler, my colleague in Richland, (southeastern) Washington, took this photo over the Columbia River this afternoon. She reports that this level of haze is unusual and was accompanied by a smoky smell, which may confirm the wildfire source indicated in the satellite image.
