Clear and cloudy, interesting cloud mix
Clear hazefree skies continued in the east, with increasing clouds in most of the remainder of the U.S. Might have been a little haze in the Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho) this afternoon but the clouds in the area made it difficult to evaluate.
There was an interesting cloud mix on the Gulf Coast today. It reveals how the satellite imagery gives very little sense of depth in the atmosphere.
