Todays Suominet Data

Another resource available to compliment the Raman Lidar measurement of water vapor is a SUOMINET station located on the roof of the building. This station measures perceptible water vapor (PWV) using a GPS receiver, as well as some met data. This can help us close the loop in measuring column water vapor with ALEX, as well as serving as a reality check. The data from today shows a doubling in PWV between 54.2 (or 05:00z) and 55 (23:59z). These data are in units of mm. More about SUOMINET can be found at http://www.suominet.ucar.edu
