thick aerosol layer
Today there was a thick, well mixed boundary layer with a very substantial aerosol layer at 2.5 km in both ALEX and ELF. Both systems also show several clouds overhead. The optical depth in the lowest 4.5 km of the atmosphere ranged from 0.18 to 0.2.
