INTEX: Cloudy in the Northeast
Skies were mostly cloudy and hazy in the Northeast; the central U.S. was relatively clear. Many aerosols are still lingering over the South. Jill mentioned yesterday that the source of this haze might be from Africa (Sahara Dust). Local fires may also be a contributing factor.

The GASP image also shows elevated AOD values in the East. Gray regions indicate no data due to clouds.
Today's particle pollution (PM2.5) map sourced from EPA AIRNow shows relatively moderate conditions in the East and West.
