Many local air quality sites only report the Air Quality Index values, EPA's general health-based metric for all air pollutants. While a 0-500 scale, six color system enables a clear message to to public, sometimes we'd like to know the real concentration values. I recently found an online calculator on EPA's AirNow site, mixed in with their publications. It was useful for my next post, so I have added a link to the AQI info and calculator on our blogroll for future use.
