Clouds and winter haze
The two passes of MODIS Aqua today gave us a full view of the U.S.

Plenty of clouds but looking between them you can see haze in the central valley of California and particularly in the midwest. Here is the MODIS Aqua image of the midwest and the MODIS Terra AOD from the IDEA site. AOD's of 0.7-0.8 between all those clouds.
