Washington-Baltimore
Finishing the day's posts, I wanted to show a lovely high-res MODIS image of snow-covered Washington-Baltimore, where 24 hour average PM2.5 levels ended today at 14 ug/m3, just in 'Code Green,' and much lower than cities just to the north.
UPDATE: Staff at Maryland Department of Environment sent an update on the final PM2.5 concentrations for February 1. The DC PM2.5 monitors stayed Green (24-hr average for Annandale: 14.8 ug/m3 and McMillian Reservoir: 13.7 ug/m3) but the Baltimore PM2.5 24-hr average for Old Town was 24.5 ug/m3 (Code Yellow).
