The scattering coefficient increased from the 14th to the 17th as a cold front approached the area. Following the frontal passage, indicated by the large drop of the scattering coefficient just prior to 0 UTC on February 17, 2005, the scattering coefficient has generally remained below 0.04 km^-1.
