East Special: Eastern Haze Retreats & TS Cindy
Few smoke plumes were found in the West. Eastern haze, noted over the past few days is being pushed off shore by a frontal system (IDEA AOD-left image; UW MODIS Direct-right image). The air quality was a mixture of moderate and good conditions.

The Southeast had much cloud cover, which was primarily due to tropical storm Cindy (bottom right image-NOAA OSEI).
