Alaska smoke
As mentioned yesterday, the PM levels in Alaska remain high. The latest smoke advisory declares that 90% of interior Alaska is affected by the smoke and that the conditions reached "hazardous" levels (more than 250.5 ug/m3 for PM2.5) in locations close to the fires. According to this webcam image, the visibility at Denali National Park is almost null. For comparison, the picture on the right was taken during a clear day on August 3, 2004.
