Still hazy in Florida

The southeast haze near northern Florida is continuing to build up. The increasing AOD can be seen on IDEA, GASP and MODIS Direct images. The EPA AirNow reported PM2.5 monitoring stations under code "yellow" in the southeast, and three stations are under code “orange” (40.4 ug/m3 to 65.4ug/m3). The poor air quality in this region may be attributed to the hazy conditions.
