Contrails, anyone?
There are some indications of haze in Georgia today but I'll leave the good stuff for the bloggers. But here is the MODIS image from the Washington/Baltimore region and not only do we have contrails, we have shadows of contrails!
So a problem left for the students....if it is 18:05 UT for this image and you can measure the physical offset of the cirrus cloud from the cirrus shadow and it is December 22....how high is the contrail?
