For the most part, the USA is experiencing good air quality today (EPA AIRNow map ), however, almost all sites in Michigan are reporting moderate PM2.5 levels. There are a few other sites across the country reporting moderate levels, and one site in N. California reporting a level in the orange range. The MODIS satellite images look clear of haze although the US is very cloudy. A few smoke plumes can be seen in the MODIS Aqua image of the Gulf Coast.
