It is great to see a new lidar blogger to USAQ. Welcome, Ruben, and nice job.
For those of you who don't know Ruben, he is a Graduate student from the University of Puerto Rico, finishing his Ph.D. this spring. Ruben is working with the lidar group at UMBC while he is finishing his thesis. Ruben had lidar experience at Arecibo Observatory.
Ruben and Ray Rogers will be running the lidars during the AURA validation field study, called WAVES, which will run at UMBC and the Howard University Beltsville Campus during the months of July and August this year. Stay tuned to more information on the field project
