Terra/MODIS RGBs for 4/1

Amy's blog yesterday showed huge numbers of fire counts in the midwest. I wonder if this couldn't be an artifact. There really are two very nice RGB images from Aqua (left) and Terra (Right) MODIS images yesterday.

While there are plumes in the image which could be fires, it sure doesn't seem like most of Kansas and Missouri are on fire.
