Dust Size Distributions

Our friends at AERONET ran the new Version 2 AERONET processing system on the Egbert AOD's from this period where we expect there is dust. Here is the series of size distributions plotted log/log.

April 15 had the largest particles with a third mode at 10 um! Amazing that they stay up there. But given that the winds are apparently quite high from Nikisa's trajectory lengths, it is feasible that these large particles got transported from Asia.

All in all this story holds together well.

Thanks to Sasha Smirnov and Ilya Slutsker of AERONET for running this code for us. If the data is wrong, it is Hoff's fault since he jammed this out in Excel.
