The fires that Ana noted in CA coincide with weather that brought several days of freezing to the citrus crop in the San Joaquin valley. Could those fires be smudge fires designed to keep the freezing down in the valley?
The California fire page shows that 0 acres have been burned by fire in California since the first of the year. Of course, someone should tell Suzanne Somers and Alan Hamel that.
We still haven't identified the source of the elevated layer in Li's post and answered Stephanie Weber's observation of a black layer over Baltimore on Thursday.....
