Haze and fires in California
As cold weather crossed the midwest and eastern U.S., the only air quality issues continued to be in California, including haze in the central valley, some smoke plumes in northern California, and very visible haze around and off the coast near San Francisco. Fine particle concentrations were unhealthy in those areas.
