Beautiful Northwest with small plumes

While clouds dominated most of the U.S., Washington, Oregon, and northern California had stunning cloud-free skies revealing snow topped mountains, river sediment outflows, a little light haze, and a few smoke plumes (click on the MODIS Aqua true color images below to see the full 1 km resolution). Fine particle concentrations continued moderate with some unhealthy for sensitive group levels.
