Several smoke plumes are noticeable in Florida and North (& South) Carolina. Fires were spotted in this region earlier in the week; HMS (smoke text product) identifies other “hot spots”.
Haze mixed with clouds is also present over the Atlantic. Several EPA AIRNow sites indicate “moderate” (code yellow; 15 < PM2.5-ug/m3 < 40) air quality in parts of the Midwest and Northeast.
