Hazy southeast
Light haze continues in the southeast, with moderate AQI primarily in southern Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Missisippi and Kentucky. The isolated code red monitor in north central Gerogia is somewhat puzzling (monitor error ?). I could not find evidence of smoke, and clouds obscured the RGB. Haze was also visible today through the NPS camera at Purchase Knob, Great Smoky Mountains National Park (western North Carolina, near the Tennessee border, facing east).
