Smoke in the Gulf and Yucatan
Good air quality in most of the U.S with the exception of moderate AQ over much of
California. The gulf is still hazy and the AOD slightly elevated in this MODIS image (lower left). There is a lof of fire activity in Mexico and central America according to the HMS analysis which could be contributing to the gulf haze. Haze was also visible today in this MODIS RGB (lower right) over the southern portion of the Yucatan penninsula.
