Smoke in Georgia and Florida
Dense smoke plumes still present today over southern Georgia and northern Florida. The GASP AOD imagery at 1315 Z shows AOD values of up to 1 over the same region, similar to the AOD values in the MODIS imagery (see Nikisa's post from yesterday). Moderate air quality over much of the southeast and midwest of the US although Baltimore remains in the good range.
Southern California and Texas were also mostly in the moderate range.
