Hazy day with CALIPSO overpass
It is hazy, humid and partly cloudy with high pressure hanging around today. There are cirrus clouds at around 12km and occasional low clouds at 4km in the morning. We can see the aloft aerosol layer extending to 2.5km and the rising boundary layer from 14UTC. The aerosol optical depth is around 0.7 from AERONET, MD science center. The hourly PM 2.5 concentrations in the range of 25.9 to 45.8 ug/m3 were recorded at Maryland's Department of the Environment Oldtown site in Baltimore during ELF's operation.
