I have friends in Ojai who say that the fly ash there has been deep at times from this blaze.
This "Zaca" Fire is now 215,000 acres and is the third largest wildfire in California history. It is within 5,000 acres of being the second biggest and within 50,000 acres of being the largest CA fire in history.
When you think about the major fires that have happened in Riverside County and San Diego Counties in the past few years, this persistent brush fire may take a while to put out. It is 17 miles from Ojai now and has closed CA Hwy 33.
