It was hazier today with a low pressure system around UMBC and high clouds at ~11km. The extinction plot also shows a disturbance in the area underneath the boundary layer. The hourly PM 2.5 concentrations in the range of 11 to 31.4 ug/m3 were recorded at the Oldtown site during ELF’s operation. The aerosol optical depth was ~0.65 from the AERONET site, MD Science Center. Currently there is a thunderstorm, together with the passing of the cold front, they will bring better air quality tomorrow and make this weekend cooler.
