Moderate AQ in the U.S Midwest

Air Quality improved today over the midwest, with most monitors in the moderate range. Some areas in the northeast and southeast were also experiencing moderate air quality. There is extensive could cover over the eastern two thirds of the U.S. In California and the northwest, air quality remains good and mostly unchanged from yesterday.

Fire activity
has been steadily dimishing the last few weeks, but there are still scattered fires throughout. In Florida, where the air quality was good today, I think I see a plume in this MODIS Aqua image, right around the center of the image north of Lake Okeechobee.
