Light Haze in California, Iowa and Missouri

Some light haze is visible today over the southern San Joaquin Valley in California(left image), Iowa and Missouri (right image). The background in both images is MODIS terra true color imagery. The haze seemed to dissipate later in the day as I don't see it in the later Aqua imagery. The AQI in both regions was a mix of good and moderate (color dots are EPA PM2.5 AQI values).
