Hazy in Southern Texas and Ohio

The Great Lakes region, primarily Ohio, experienced worsening air quality today with code yellow in Chicago and code orange in Cleveland (upper left). It was too cloudy though to see any potential haze in the MODIS RGB (MODIS Terra and the AIRNow AQI is shown in all three images below). There was some fire activity in the southeast and I see one smoke plume over Georgia west of Savannah (upper right). The haze over southern Texas continues and is visible from MODIs terra (lower image) with air quality in the moderate range.
