Good to Moderate Air Quality and fires in the southeast

In th eastern half of the U.S, air quality ranged from good to moderate. Today's Airnow AQI loop is shown to the left. Areas of moderate air quality included Mississipi, Alabama, Oklahoma, Arkansas, as well as monitors along the central U.S. Fire acitivity also persists in the southeast, notice the plumes in the MODIS aqua RGB over eastern Texas, Mississipi, and Arkansas (right image).
