Haze over Maryland, New Jersey, and North Atlantic

It is very hazy today over Maryland and over the North Atlantic (left, MODIS Terra RGB). The haze was also picked up by the MODIs AOD (right) algorithm with values around 0.7 off the coast of New Jersey and New York. The PM2.5 AQI was in the moderate range over much of the northeast, Midatlantic, Great Lakes Region, and also southern Texas.
