Hazy skies and a homogeneous capped cloud (red counts/structure between 2.7-3.5 km) boundary layer was observed by ELF, as shown in today's timeseries. The boundary layer extends up to 2.7 km. A high pressure system settled over the Mid-Atlantic, allowing the PM2.5 concentrations to increase due to the warm weather and light winds generated by this system. The PM2.5 concentrations measured at the Oldtown Maryland Department of the Environment station increased from 11 to 16 ug/m3 during today's observations.
