A cloud capped boundary layer was observed today. Clouds were also present at 10-12 km throughout today's timeseries. The right image is a close-up of today's timeseries, only that the scale of the colorbar was reduced to showcase a smoke layer observed at about 4.5km. A 72 hour NOAA HYSPLIT backtrajectory analisis (not shown here) indicates that the airmass at this height originated in California. Fires in California were posted by Nikisa. PM2.5 concentrations at MDE's Oldtown monitoring station ranged from 12-20 ug/m3 during today's observations.
