Good Air Quality in the Northeast

Air Quality was good today over most of the country with the exception of scattered monitors in the moderate range in the central U.S, southern California, and in the southeast. The top image shows the northeastern U.S, which was cloud and haze free today. The bottom image shows the southeastern U.S with some haze visible between the clouds in Northern Georgia and in eastern Alabama. Both images are MODIS Terra RGBs provided by SSEC (U. of Wisconsin).
