Moderate Air Quality in the East

Smoke/haze, most of it likely above the Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL), still lingers in the South and North. The air quality (EPA AIRNow) is generally good in most of the country, but continues to be moderate in Southern California and East. The left image is the Terra MODIS composite (UW MODIS Today) and the right is the AOD (~0.4).
