Post-script on China: Returning to Abnormal

Ana's post yesterday highlighted the seasonal differences between 2007 and 2008 in Beijing. Now that the Olympics are over, it looks like things are returning to abnormal with serious haze redeveloping over Beijing. In the four panels below, we see the haze on August 26(top,left), August 27(top,right), August 28(bottom, left) and August 29(bottom, right). Today there is cloud cover over Beijing. Beijing is in the middle of these subsets from Rapidfire.

This will bring an end to our coverage of the Olympics but our "foreign correspondent", Jill, will be bringing news from the far east when the occasion demands.
