Good AQI Levels in Baltimore

Good ventilation and cleaner air from northeastern winds improved the air quality in Baltimore, with PM2.5 concentrations ranging between 7-14 ug/m3 (Good AQI levels) at MDE's Oldtown monitoring station. The boundary layer rose up to 1.4 km, with a few clouds advecting before 18:00 UTC (red counts). Like yesterday, scattering near the surface, as shown in the lidar timeseries, decreased throughout the day due to the cleaner airmass over Baltimore. Calipso overpass today was 74 km west of UMBC at 18:29 UTC.
