Lingering haze in California

Haze/smoke (left image-Aqua MODIS) still lingers in California and is primarily contributing to elevated AQI (unhealthy for sensitive groups-code orange) reported in the area. Moderate air quality was also reported in other parts of the state. Haze was visible over the Midwest Central U.S (left image). The AQI, however, was mostly good in this region and the rest of the country.
