Most of the US is enjoying good particulate air quality, including the northwest, where particulate air quality has improved compared to yesterday. In California it's back to a mixture of moderate (yellow) and unhealthy for sensitive groups (orange) in the central valley, and also today over the Bay area (San Francisco), see left image. The Southern part of California (right image) was mostly in the good range today but now I see a few monitors which have moved out of the good range, in Los Angeles and near Anaheim south of Los Angeles.

In the northeast and mid-Atlantic, the rain from yesterday and cloud cover are helping to keep air quality in the good range. In the picture below (Camnet Webcam, 3PM EST today) looking south from Boston before arrival of the front, skies look relatively haze free.
