Signs of Frontal Boundary

A rising boundary layer is shown in today's timeseries, reaching a height of 1.5 km after 19:00 UTC (2:00 LT). Calm conditions in the morning allowed PM2.5 to reach concentrations between 17-24 ug/m3 in Baltimore, according to Maryland Department of the Environment monitoring stations. This period of Moderate PM2.5 AQI levels correspond to the time when more photons were scattered back to our receiver (16:00-18:00 UTC). After 20:00 UTC clouds associated with the frontal boundary that will bring snow tomorrow can be seen advecting over the lidar at a height of 1.6 km.
