Smoke and moderate levels of ozone in Texas, Moderate to Unhealthy in California and Florida
Today AIRNow’s PM2.5 map (top, left) shows Moderate to Unhealthy (code red) levels in California and Moderate levels in Oklahoma, Florida and Utah.
Texas presented moderate levels of ozone and MODIS Terra true-color image (top, right) shows smoke over that region which according to NOAA team is remnant from fires that occurred yesterday in Kansas and Oklahoma.
The map of fires for today follows below (bottom, left).
AOD data from MODIS Terra wasn't available in NOAA IDEA website but the GASP animation loop (bottom, right) confirms areas of higher aerosol concentration over Florida and Texas.
