Moderate air quality in the Midwest; Smoke over North Dakota and Central America

Today the air quality was moderate to unhealthy in the Midwest and moderate in California according to AIRNow map (left). Also in California and Midwest, ozone levels varied from moderate to unhealthy for sensitive groups (code orange) (right).

NOAA HMS team showed smoke over the Gulf of Mexico due to agricultural fires in Central America and also over Canada due to fires in Saskatchewan and Manitoba and fire spots spreading from Canada to North Dakota (bellow). MODIS Terra shows us some of the fire spots with what seems to be thin smoke that are getting mixed with the clouds in North Dakota (bottom, left) and also the smoke over Central America (bottom, right)
