Moderate Air Quality in Midwest, Southeast and California; Haze over the Atlantic
Today AIRNow PM2.5 map shows moderate to unhealthy (to sensitive groups) conditions in California and moderate conditions in most of the Southeast and Midwest (top, left).
Ozone conditions are still very similar as yesterday's with mostly moderate levels in Texas, Oklahoma, most of the Midwest and Southeast and also in California (top, right).
In terms of satellite imaging, the smoke reported by the SSD Fire Team at NOAA over the Great Lakes region (bottom, left) could not be observed due to cloud coverage but the haze over the Atlantic right off the North Carolina shore could be seen in the visible Terra MODIS image (bottom, right).
