Special Feature: 0300 UT on June 1, the Air France Disaster

Here is the Meteosat 9 image from 0300 UT when the Air France 330 from south America to France went down. The supercells which developed along the ITCZ grew rapidly in strength from 03 UT to 09UT. By the estimate of the automatic broadcast to ATC, the accident happened at 0314 UT.
