Moderate conditions over Midwest persist; Good air quality in California

Midwest and Southeast are still experiencing moderate conditions while California could enjoy a better air quality today according to AIRNow (left).
HMS at NOAA reports that some haze could be observed through the Northern Plains reaching the Upper Great Lakes most likely due to the latest fires in the Northwest and British Columbia. MODIS Terra shows higher AOD over the Great Lakes indeed and its RGB image confirms the haze (right).
