Fires continue but air quality improves in Oregon.

Remnant smoke from the fires in Oregon, Montana, Idaho, British Columbia, and Alberta is still seen from south central Oregon through southwestern and central British Columbia (top left). Due to this smoke, MODIS terra recorded high AOD levels over this area (top right). Although large fires continue, the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency reports a significant decrease in the PM2.5 levels in Oregon (bottom left). Good air quality conditions were read by EPA's Air Now in the rest of the country (bottom right).
