Unhealthy AQI in California; Possible haze offshore the Mid-Atlantic
Today, AQI in California (top, left) came down to unhealthy levels due to PM2.5 mostly.
NOAA HMS reports smoke and/or dust over California and MODIS Terra shows us some smoke over the northern portion of the state (top, right).
Clouds were covering most of the US today but still AOD map shows higher AOD values offshore the Mid-Atlantic which might be indication of haze (bottom, left). NAAPS forecasts sulfate over Midwest and East for today and for the following days (bottom, right).
