Good air quality in the nation, except for California

Much of the East coast (refer to left image; UW MODIS Direct) is covered with clouds due to a low pressure system that is moving across the area. Skies are less cloudy in the Midwest/Central U.S. and no haze/smoke is present. However, haze is in California. Moderate air quality conditions (right image; EPA AIRNow) are only present in this portion of the county. The rest of the country has good air quality.
