Air quality in California worsens; Fires in Northern Argentina

AIRNow shows higher concentrations of PM2.5 over US compared to yesterday (left), but specially in California which has action days today for Bakersfield, Hanford and Visalia. Current conditions as of 11pm EDT: Code Orange in California and Midwest (Indiana and Michigan). Ozone levels were good.
HMS at NOAA reported more fire spots compared to the last few days but still, no reports on detached smoke from those fires.

From MODIS Terra RGB images a number of fires and dense smoke were spotted over Northern Argentina (right) by the border with Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay. Hopefully that would be one of the last agricultural fires of their dry season, which ends by now in November.
